What is Glutathione?

Glutathione (GSH) is an antioxidant tripeptide, also known as L-glutathione, composed of three amino acids: glutamate (the most important neurotransmitter in the central nervous system), cysteine and glycine, which are naturally found in high concentrations in virtually every cell in our body. Glutathione will neutralize reactive oxygen species and thus prevent cellular damage. In addition, Glutathione controls white blood cells and thus strengthens the immune system.
